Why the NCE accessories were developed - NCE is a well-known supplier of DCC (Digital Command Control) systems used in the operation of model electric trains. They have a long history of providing hand-held throttles and the underlying electrical equipment and controllers.
The smaller Cab series of hand-held throttles are available in both a tethered (wired) and a wireless (radio) battery-operated version. The potentiometer-style Cabs can be configured to operate in a standard mode, and a special mode NCE has labeled "Yard" mode. DNI Designs developed the products below to enhance "yard" mode operation and to make battery replacement easier for the radio versions of the Cab.
The accessories are for NCE Cab-04, Cab-05, and Cab-06 hand-held throttles.
